Indiana State University was founded in 1865 as the Indiana State Normal School in Terre Haute, IN. It is a public co-ed university that enrolls over 10,500 students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. More than 100 majors are offered, and students participate in nearly as many clubs and organizations that foster community spirit and lifelong learning. Indiana State University has been recognized by the Princeton Review as part of the “Best Midwestern Colleges” list and is considered a best value school.
